There are also questions about publishing to Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud.

How can I access free Tableau data analyst certification tests?

Many online platforms offer free practice tests and resources for the Tableau Certified Data Analyst exam. Websites like this and this provide sample questions and study materials to help candidates prepare, and you can also find youtube videos like this and this where people who’ve taken the exam talk about what they did to prepare and what the exam experience was like. Note, however, that the exam curriculum was updated in December of 2024 and all of the hands-on questions were removed, so you’re experience of the exam won’t be exactly the same as described in the videos.

To prepare for the Tableau Certified Data Analyst exam, it is recommended to use the functionality described in the curriculum with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep, and Tableau Cloud or Tableau Server, as well as to take practice exams. Unfortunately, Tableau Public, the free version of Tableau, doesn’t have a lot of the functionality needed for the Tableau Data Analyst exam. It is very helpful to practice with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep, and Tableau Cloud or Tableau Server. But if you’re not a student or working for a company with a license, it can be tricky to get access to these tools. If you need access to the full version of Tableau for training purposes, you may wish to sign up for the UC Davis program at Coursera to get access to the full version of Tableau, as is explained here.
